Whistling Straits is home to two 18-hole world-class golf courses: The Irish and The Straits. While The Irish meanders through dunes and streams, The Straights lies along two windswept and rugged miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. The Straits has hosted the 2004, 2010 and 2015 PGA Championships, the 2007 U.S. Senior Open and will host the 2020 Ryder Cup. Associated with The American Club and owned by Kohler, these courses are some of the best in the United States.
Blackwolf Run Golf Course, home of two stellar courses also associated with The American Club at Destination Kohler, is another top-ranked facility boasting two 18-hole courses: The River and The Meadow Valley. The courses opened in 1988 and are Pete Dye designs.
