Spanish Bay is reminiscent of golf as it was originally played in Scotland centuries ago. Designers Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Tom Watson and Sandy Tatum intended the course as a true links course. The natural landscape at the site of Spanish Bay lent itself to the creation of an authentic links course, which typically was built on sandy seaside wasteland. The course was also built with environmental sensitivity in mind as the land is home to native plants, birds and animals. Don’t miss the bagpiper that plays at sunset, further enhancing the authentic Scottish feel of the course and the resort.
