Upon completing the course in 2001, architect Tom Doak said, “It feels as if it was discovered, not built.” Flowing from shore pines to striking 60-foot sand dunes, the course is short enough to give the golfer hope, yet difficult enough to test every aspect of the game. The course, located at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, was ranked among Golf Magazine’s Top 50 shortly after opening.
